47 West began with a simple conviction: that the spaces we gather in, and the drinks we share, deserve more thought than the average establishment offers. We opened our doors on West Street in Rockport to create something deliberate — a place where the coffee is pulled with the same care as the cocktails, where the lighting is considered, and where a visit feels like a small occasion.
The Midcoast of Maine has always been a place that values craft — in boats, in food, in the quiet work of people who take pride in what they make. We wanted a space that reflected that sensibility. Not pretentious, but particular. Not trendy, but true to something.
